I've been asking myself what is bringing to chilling wind to us these two or three days. And whenever one of them shivered due to the cool I inevitably retorted that this is nothing compared to what I was exposed to in China for a month. And I have to say, the wind did remind me of the good times spent in China. I didn't only work, but also seen more of this world.
The best of all was when I spent futile time listening to what the managers have to tell. They are two kind souls, one working away from home Mr Se, another one being a local Yuan Pei. Whenever mentioning about them I can't stop smiling at the fact that me and Mr Se does share a lot of similarities. We are both bespectacled , big in build and are lefties. The other 4 school mates will definitely comment that we look like father and son whenever we walked side by side.Thus, during my second last week there he accepted me to be his god-son. Don't know why, but it's really fond and worth mentioning time over and over again.
Mr Se has the most to say. From being an enthusiast in sports to working multiple jobs just to earn a living and support a family of 6, to earning $12k per month and giving it up to working in China drawing a fairly much salary. I'd always ask why give up earning $12k? And he will always be modest in saying that he is learning to appreciate life, as he knows the people in Guiyang don't earn much. He told me a lot of things and his pet phrase is work hard, but play harder, so your life is much more colourful than others. Whenever he says that we will be busy gulping down pin after pin of beer. -_-
Until recently, I received another one from him. Don't play with your future. That phrase sent by him to me through a friend really got me thinking, why didn't I manage to learn any thing he taught me ? Why didn't I make myself a best thing that can happen to him during my one month's time in China but to make him worry and lecture him teaching me to be a better man again and again ? Why am I not like Yuan Pei, who is always fighting for a chance to learn more when he, grew up in China, is able to command English well ( better than many Singaporeans ) and even knows how to use slang like KNS ?
I'm really ashamed of myself.
Since you left me dead laid here ;

I speak in deep ungracefulness and I'm not those geeky , cute , bea(it)chy boys you go after. I'm a dangerous game to play, and you won't have enough tears to pay.
